Accrington Pop-Up Paste-Up launches

Accrington Pop-Up Paste-Up photography festival has launched.

Located on Church Street in the town centre, the pop-up photography exhibition has taken over two shop fronts, including the former Maneia shop, and the alleyway next to Maneia.

The alleyway is now filled with new and historic images of Accrington, its people and places, plus other images taken further afield by Accrington-based photographers.

Almost 30 images are on display featuring the work of local photographers who replied to an open call out for image submissions, plus some archive images from Lancashire County Council’s Red Rose Collections, including images by legendary Accrington photographer Garth Dawson.

The final few images will be installed on the morning of Saturday, June 20, 2026 (subject to the weather).

The project has been produced and installed by photographer Garry Cook, thanks to Hyndburn Council’s Culture, Arts, and Heritage Grant Programme funded by he UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
