Accrington Pop-Up Paste-Up is an outdoor photography exhibition featuring photographs linked to Accrington and the Hyndburn area.

This link can be the photos, old and new taken in and aroudn Hyndburn, or the photographer who isd based in hyndburn or has links to the area.

Images will be pasted up on walls across Acrrington town centre ahead of the exhibition weekend which will take place on Saturday and Sunday December 6 and 7, 2025.

The call out is free to enter. Images will be printed by the vent orhanisted (me, Garry Cook @gazcook) and installed on Weds and Friday leading up to the weekend. Some images will be installed on the Saturday of the event.

Pop-up Paste-Up photography exhibition

Single-image call out!

Show me your best single-image – no theme.

Accrington town centre will display a number of large-scale images by photographers at various locations.

Your image will be displayed prominently on the wall of a busy street or hidden in a curious back alley for people to discover on an unexpected photo journey. Downloadable maps of the exhibition location will be provided.

We particularly welcome images linked to Accrington and Hyndburn. Images can be new or old photos. Anything from landscapes to old family photos are acceptable.

I want to offer an opportunity to any photographer to take part. Every attempt will be made to display every image submitted. Images deemed inappropriate will not be printed and displayed. In the event or a high number of submissions, priority will be given to Hyndburn-connected images.

This call-out is free to enter. There is no fee to the photographers for taking part in this single-image but we will pay for print and installation costs.

SUBMISSION NOTES: You MUST be able to supply a hi–res image. I will be reformat this image for you but lo-res images are unsuitable for large scale printing.

Camera phone images (RAW files, DNGs or jpegs) ARE SUITABLE for print if the original file is sent uncompressed. Images downloaded from Facebook or which have been sent through a messaging app like WhatsApp are unlikely to be able to printed for display.

If possible, please save your file as yoursurname_yourfirstname.
