#lancsphotofest
For schools, community centres and similar organisations
I’d like to invite schools, community centres and similar organisations to be part of Lancashire Photography Festival – with a free photography exhibition on your premises.
Launching in Preston this June 2023, Lancashire Photography Festival will be the UK’s largest outdoor photography festival with hundreds of images on display by some of the world’s leading photographers.
As part of the engagement program, I want to get photography in all its forms in front of as many people as possible. So, as part of the Arts Council England-funded project, I’ve offered every school within a three-mile radius of Preston (which includes South Ribble) one of three photography exhibitions which I will mail out to you free of charge. And even if your organisation is outside of the three-mile radius, you can still take part in the project. If you’re not sure that you can take part, just email me and ask!
All you have to do is hang the 20 A3-size images up somewhere in your venue – and send me some photos of the display, hopefully with people looking at them!
The three photography projects available are:
Space – images from NASA
Winners! – Award-winning images from Preston Photographic Society
Historic Preston – significant images from Preston’s past from the Harris Museum’s picture archives
All you have to do to take part in Lancashire Photography Festival is send an email, including your postal address, and which set of images you would like to display, to gazcook[@]googlemail[dot]com with the subject line: Post Photography
Lancashire Photography Festival takes place from June to September 2023. I’d love it if you could display the exhibition in your school for at least two weeks in June.
