Art On The Streets of Preston

CALL OUT!

This is the call out to submit art work to be displayed in an outdoors location in Preston.

This project aims to showcase the work of Preston artists and give people visiting the city of Preston some art to enjoy, at a time when there is no easily accessible, fully open, art gallery or museum in Preston.

SUBMIT YOUR WORK NOW:

Applicants should either live in a PR1, PR2, PR3, PR4 or PR5 postcode or have a strong connection to the city.

Any type of art is permissible – the only stipulation is that it can be mounted on to an A0 board (we do this for you) so it can then be fixed to wooden hoardings (we will also do this too).

Possible artworks which could be displayed include photography, paintings (or prints of paintings), poetry, graphic design. You can be as creative as you like. All artworks should be able to be proportionate to an A0 size (roughly speaking this is the same proportions as an A4 sheet of paper).

Our aim is exhibit up to x20 art works by local Preston-based creatives. Location(s) of the artworks is to be confirmed but is likely to be the hoardings of the former BHS building on Fishergate. Art works will be displayed for one month. We’re aiming for four weeks between April and May.

Submissions will be selected by the Brewtime Collective Core team. This core group represents a range of artistic experience in Preston.

If successful:

You will be required to submit your art work/copy to A0 size (841mmx 1189mm / 33.1in x 45.8in), or as a digital file (jpg, TIFF or pdf). We will print this for you onto correx board and install it at the exhibition location. We will do everything we can to assist you with formatting but submitted artworks which are too small to be printed at this size will unfortunately not be exhibited.

The deadline to submit is 11.59pm on Sunday, April 02, 2023.

• Your name and title of work
• One sentence about the artwork
• One sentence about you
• x1 image file (jpeg, TIFF or pdf) of your artwork (no bigger than 10mb) with your name as the filenname.
